Swift As A Life

Born as a baby

Cute and sweet

“What shall we call him”?

The parents say

The photos go up on the display

Baby is born

Toddler years

Bedtime fears

“Don’t want to go to sleep mummy, monsters in my bed”.

Dad says he will beat the monsters if they scare little Timmy

Life is a whirlwind of fun, happiness, laughter and joy

A bundle of sadness, heartbreak, regret and guilt

Life is silly

Stupid and strange

Just be thankful to be born

Life can be so painful

You want to curl up and end it

But so great you want to live forever

But we don’t

Eighty one is a great age

So Granddad be pleased

You did a lot

Lived a lot

Went to lots of places

Had lots of feelings

A remarkable life

Had kids, a wife

Granddad we love you forever

Ever, ever and ever

We will never forget

The pain will get easier

It already has for me

But now I want to cry

I love you

We love you

Life is like the sky

Now don’t forget this

Make sure you remember it

We love you

Be happy

Not scared
