Anorexia

The girls they're thin
With oversized fleeces
To store food
When we aren't watching
Purging themselves
In any way they can
They see beauty in skeletal form
Calories are their devil
And laxatives their new best friend
Twig legs, stick thin arms
"You're beautiful" you want to say
And hope they believe it
To the outside world
They're malnutrioned, starving
In their mind they're huge
The girls they're thin
With gaunt smiles
And porcelain skin
They break so easily
Don't let anorexia win
It'll beat you up
And tear you apart
Remember that you're beautiful
Right from the start.
